A series of black and white photography, with compositions where organic and geomertrical shapes and forms intertwine.
In the Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad (2015), Wim van Sinderen, Senior Curator at The Hague Museum of Photography, wrote a great review about the “De Mens”, a photo out of this series:

“I’m a great admirer of black and white photography. It’s making the image more quiet and graphic. It emphasizes the contrast between light and dark. The Black and white tame down the heated colored images.”

“From the thousands of photos I’ve judged as a member of the jury there are only a few that reach a professional level. Like in the photo of Eugenie van Raaij you see the shadows of people on the wall. Photographing people directly can be beautiful, but in her work you can literally see the shadow of the HUMAN BEING theme. In this case the power of light has been used actively, and photography is first and foremost the Art of the Light.”
